About IVCCE

The Indorama Ventures Center for Clean Energy was set up to accelerate India's clean energy transition through education, research and real-world innovation. We work where energy meets digital technology.

IVCCE is an integrated research platform where technology, policy, economics and behavioural insights come together to design, test and scale real-world solutions for the energy transition.

We develop clean energy solutions that are scalable, sustainable and affordable, and we nurture industry-ready professionals and entrepreneurs along the way. Our faculty and researchers come from core energy fields and from complementary ones, such as economics, data science and materials, because the hardest problems in energy are never only technical.

The Center is guided by an Advisory Committee of international experts from academia, industry and philanthropy.

Vision

To decarbonize, democratize and digitize energy for India and beyond.

Mission

To accelerate India's transition to a net-zero, self-reliant and digitally enabled energy future through interdisciplinary research and innovation, evidence-based policy leadership, strong partnerships with industry and government, and by nurturing the next generation of energy leaders through education, capacity building and entrepreneurship.

How we work

A lean domain team that builds solutions in focused areas, using strong collaborations inside and outside the Center.

Testbeds and living labs

Real infrastructure, like our thermal storage plant and campus microgrid, where ideas are proven at full scale.

Collaborative solutioning

Work with governments, industry and communities on problems they actually face, from heat policy to housing approvals.

Talent for industry

Students work on live projects with mentors, and courses build skills for professionals.

Startup ecosystem

Our testbeds are open to startups and manufacturers who need to prove their technology in the field.

Where we are heading: the multi-energy grid

We believe India's energy system should become one intelligent system, where electricity and cooling are planned, forecast and dispatched together, in cities and in villages.
